For the 9th installment of the Bison tournament, we’ll be introducing a new game, League of Legends. We’ll be hosting a live 1v1 LoL Best-Top-Lane Waterloo tournament along with SSF4:AE2012 (XBOX 360) and UMvC3 (XBOX360). Because this is our first time doing a LoL tournament, there will be a 16-man cap.

Free door prizes from Riot Games, while supplies last. Prizes are listed below:

There will be casuals all day and BYOC LAN access at the event. Spectators are welcomed!

Tournament Rules

Controller/Stick Problems
You are required to button check before your match. There are no excuses. The LS/RS excuse will not fly. If you have any stick/button problems at anytime during your match, its your problem, its your job to make sure your stick is reliable. The round will be played to conclusion and you will get a chance to fix your buttons or replace your stick next round.

Players will face off in a double elimination bracket
The matches will be Best of Three
Grand finals will be Best of Five
Players may opt for blind select with the assistance of a judge
Ultras can be changed between matches
Winner must keep their current character
Interruptions in a tournament match are to be immediately reported to a judge


Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3
Tournament to be played on Xbox
Players will face off in a double elimination bracket
All matches will be Best of Five
Players may opt for blind select with the assistance of a judge
Winners cannot change their characters, assists, or team order
Interruptions in a tournament match are to be immediately reported to a judge


League of Legends - Best Top Waterloo
The rules are derived from the “Best Riven NA” tournament

16-man cap. First 16 people to register will be able to participate
This is a live LAN event. PCs will be provided for competitors. We encourage competitors to bring their own keyboard and mouse
Competitors are allowed to bring their own PC.
Players will face off in a single elimination bracket
matches will be Best of Three
Grand Finals will be Best of Five
Players can choose any champion, however, winners must remain on their current champion.
Players may change Summoner Spells between matches
Initial champion selection is blind select.
Players must remain in the Top Lane of Summoner’s Rift
Out of Bounds Map (normal fighting)
Out of Bounds Map (when getting chased)
No Jungle Creeps may be killed.
No crit runes are allowed. A judge will verify rune pages.
Recalling is allowed.
If a turret in another lane goes down by minions then the player who was on the side that killed the turret will be required to buy two wards in base and drop them.
A match will conclude when one of the following occurs:
First Blood
First Downed Turret
A 30CS Lead (Can't occur before the 10 minute mark in-game.)
First to reach level 12
A judge will call the end of a match based on the above criteria
If there are any issues during the match, pause the game immediately and notify a judge.
